TCE was engaged by Toyota to build an expansion to their Lexus Press Building in Woodstock, Ontario.
The project comprised of cast-in-place mass concrete foundations, suspended slabs, and tunnels. Implementation of well point dewatering systems. Integrated new building systems into existing operation facilities. Supervision and coordination of subtrades.
This was a fast-track project with numerous obstacles such as dewatering 4.5 meters beyond an underground aquifer and bulk excavating while in an extreme weather conditions. Brought in a large 40 ton crane and press machine, being the first to have it dropped into position with no rework or modifications to foundation. The project was completed one month ahead of schedule. Scope included large-scale concrete and dewatering efforts with tight time restraints with no interruptions to the adjacent plant production during the course of the process.
